Jock Road by Sara Ney

Title: Jock Road ( Jock Hard)
Author: Sara Ney
This a series: Yes
    *Name of Series: Jock Hard
    * Book #: 3

Side note:

As you can see this is not the first one in the series, but it can be read as a standalone book.  I do encourage you to read the other books in the series.  Now since this is kind of a spin-off I would recommend the series, " How to Date a Douchebag".  "How to Date a Douchebag" series is not only awesome,  but has different male characters
that are not really highlighted in many books. One of my favorite parts is the beginning of each chapter, because it has short quotes.  Those quotes are not only hilarious but I will admit I have screen shot some of them.  And maybe just maybe some people did get text messages with said quotes Emoji

   * Cliffhanger: No even though part of a series can be a standalone but recommend to read all
   * P.O.V. : Dual both heroine and hero

   * Main Characters- Jackson Jennings Jr. a.k.a Triple J
                                  Charlotte " Charlie" Edmonds
   * Characters have a back story: No they meet for the first time in this book
   * Main story- This is one of the sweeter romance novels I have read.  Now there is sex and sexual scenes, but                           not a steamy as I like to read.  Sara Ney has a way of combining sweet
with sexy but not too much which always wants me to read more. This is definitely an enemies to                           friends book and my favorite kind.

Jackson Jennings Junior or ask “Triple J” is not typically what I normally read.  He is more naive and innocent then I like, but some how some in some way, the author was able to hook
me in.  I am most definitely am not one to like long hair on a guy but I will make an exception just like I do with Thor Emoji.  Jackson is all about his football and getting in the draft.  He feels a lot of pressure from his
dad and doesn't want to disappoint him.  Jackson doesn't allow himself to get stuck in the life of partying or even girls.  He has his mind set on one thing and one thing only.  Unfortunately, or in his case fortunately he finds himself feeling things he never thought he could feel.

Enter, Charlotte Edmonds who is up front and honest.  She most definitely doesn't let anyone push her around and Jackson is not an exception.  She holds her own when it comes to him.
Even though their first few encounters are less than stellar there is the tension that is undeniable.  As I was reading I felt like there was a chess match and couldn't wait to get to the end of the game. I think Jackson's southern charm and accent was the kicker.

There is a little bit of drama, but what good romance novel doesn't.  I love Sara Ney.

*Cons- There were some loose ends, but didn't take too much away from the book.
       * pros- sexy, good chemistry, I wanted more and could wait to finish at the same time

My thoughts:

So, as I am reading this book and I think to myself how many guys in this world would actually admit to having little or no experience with sex by the time they are 21.  Okay most guys are
all macho and are like, "yeah I bang chicks all the time".  But actually how many are telling the truth.  I know most guys lie about there number whether higher (if it their friends) or lower (if they are talking to a woman).  We women are not innocent in this either.  I find we are more likely to say less of a number because of what society dictates.  I do have a perfect example of a guy who totally live up to the lie.

I dated this guy years ago when I was 19 and he was 21.  When I first met him he was sweet, attentive, and very affectionate. I would say at the beginning of the relationship he was overall a really nice guy.
After dating for about a month the dreaded conversation comes up.  I call it the ex convo.   We all know how this conversation goes.  You talk about the worse relationship you were in which usually is the last one you have had.  You end up giving all the information for clues for this new person never to do. Mean while you are constantly leaving out details so the other person doesn't exactly know the whole truth.  This usually happens when you either don't want to look like a stalker, a psycho, needy, greedy, and/or clingy.  We all do it and we all know it.  We all hope that the omitted parts are not going to matter in the long run.

So back to my story. He goes on to tell me he has had two serious relationships and has had sex with two other girls.  Okay, the number four, not bad and I was okay. He has some experience.  I can
admit the chemistry for me was lacking some, but I wanted to give it a try. Skip ahead we are now dating for two months and it is go time.  I am so ready.  As every girl knows you need to bring your A game.
My check list:
√ freshly showered
√ primped
√ sexy lingerie
√ lotion
I am a little nervous first time we are together and I am totally not sure what to expect.  We decided to go to his house because his parents were not going to be home.  As soon as a  walked in the door he was all on me.
We clumsily go up the stairs to his bedroom and in my head I'm like this is going to be oh so good.  He lightly pushes me on to the couch and all I am thinking is yes foreplay!!  I mean who doesn't like foreplay!  We start kissing some more and now there is some touching.  He takes off his pants and boxers.  He then takes off my pants and underwear ( no appreciation for the underwear).  Next I hear the sound foil and we are at to 20 yard line.  Pause game,  let me give a visual I am laying half off half on the couch, my shirt is still on, and we are already there.  One, two, three, Blast off!.  He is out of breath laying on top.  News flash we just had our touch down.  I so wish I was exaggerating or making this up because its just not right.

Question, What do you do??? I didn't know what to say or if I should move.  I had to bite my tongue from saying what I really wanted to say.  And just in case your wondering, " Is that it?" were my thoughts.
I didn't want to hurt his feelings or say " Wow, that was the best".  So I did the next worse thing I could have done.  I got dressed said thank you and left.  That is right I got into my car and
left.  He called to tell me how great it was and how much fun he had.  Suffice it to say I stayed with him for another year (please don't judge me).  I did find out he was a virgin so that explains a lot which in turn he
became really clingy.  And your probably wondering if the sex did get any better I will give him a B+ for effort. Emoji

Let me know what you think, if you have a crazy story yourself, or if you read the book.

Remember Shh!! Me Time!!
