Summary:

Lizzie has no luck in love.  Like at all!!  She keeps going on bad date after bad date.  After a comment her sister makes to her she decides she wants to vent by setting up a boyfriend blog.  She finds an outlet to vent to while remaining anonymous.  Her friends and family have no idea she blogs about her weird, disturbing, and down right depressing dating life.  The only man she can depend on is her trusty best friend Aiden.  When her older next door neighbor suggest she get off the apps and meet people in person she is totally baffled by this.

Aiden knows in the past he was immature and college did not bring out the best in him.  Last year he discovered his feelings towards Liz were more than friends.  Aiden occasionally will hint to Liz his feelings but she is always rejecting his offers.  He knows she is the one, but how does he convince her when she is determined to find her a man on an app.

My thoughts:

This book was funny!!  The dates Liz went on were totally outrageous but had the basis of truth to them.  I have been off of the dating market for 13 years now and dating apps were not a thing.  I mean there was different websites along with My Space.  I mean Facebook was really new so I am actually totally backwards when it comes to dating apps.

I do have friends who have told me their stories.  So I would like to share one of them with you that stands out the most to me.  My friend "Tina" had just started to get back into the dating game.  She had just went through a divorce and had a eight year old.  Between working at a doctors office and taking care of her daughter she really didn't have time for the dating seen.  Tina was talked into try eharmony.  Within four days she had a match but she was still a little uneasy about the whole thing.   She ended up talking to him for two weeks before they decided to meet.  She suggested they meet at a local restaurant/bar and each of them bring a friend.

When Tina met him there she was so relieved it was the guy in the picture.  The four of them had a good time and spent three hours there.  In Tina's mind she was all about a second date.  They all walk out to the car still talking and laughing  As she is telling me the story mind you her hands are swinging and she is really getting into.  A man who was drunk starts yelling at the four of them.  She really couldn't understand what he was saying.  The next thing Tina knows the drunk man, her date, and her dates friend are fighting.  A couple of dudes who were just walking outside see what is going on and break up the fight.  Tina sees her date bleeding so she (stupidly I might add) invited him back to her apartment. Can you imagine my face as she tells me this??

FYI: I do not recommend for anyone to ever invite someone back to their house if they do not know them.  My biggest fear is they would try to murder me.

What she didn't expect was for him to fall asleep on her couch and not wake up ( yes he was breathing).  She stayed up all night hoping he would finally wake up and tried multiple times to wake him up.  When her date finally got up he apologized for falling asleep on her.  He was polite enough to thank her.  And then it became really weird.  Yes, even weirder.  When Tina came home from work he was sitting against her door.  When she asked why he was there he told Tina they were in love and wanted to move in with her.  He told her he felt a deep connection with her he has never felt before. Tina told him she was not in love with him he sat there and had a legit break down.  There was sobbing and snot.   Let's just say one call to the cops, a restraining order, and getting off eharmony was just the lesson she needed.

Happy to know the guy stayed away and she eventually found the love of her life.  She ended up with twin boys and is living the fairy tale she envisioned for herself.

Do you have a crazy dating story?  Let me know!!

As always,

Shh!! ME Time!!
