Summary:

Ireland is the a co-anchor for the morning news.  Through hard work and nine years of dedication she has worked her way up the ladder.  She ends up taking a well deserved vacation for her best friends bachelorette party.  The girls decide to go to a nude beach to enjoy some cocktails.  While being at the beach one of the girls decides to take a video of the girls having fun topless.  Of course the girl shares the video to all of their social media pages.  When Ireland gets home she finds an email from her boss saying they are letting her go for inappropriate behavior.  She doesn't know how he got the video due to her account is private and is her personal page not her public page.  Ireland decides she is going to send an email to her big boss explaining how she believes it was wrongful termination.  Only she writes this email while she has had a little too much to drink.

Grant has recently taken over the family businesses.  When he receives the email from Ireland he automatically declines to look into the matter especially after some of the things she said in the email.  When he receives the second email he finds himself intrigued about this former employee.  Grant ends up running into Ireland and finds out she is even more intriguing in person.  With his past lurking just around the corner Grant feels stuck in an inevitable loop.

My thoughts:

Drunken emails.  I have never done that, but I have called or text someone while drunk.  Haven't we all though.  There has to be a time where you think it is the best idea in the world to call an ex while being drunk.  In your head you think yes now is the perfect time to get the closure you want or just to tell the person what you really think of them.  Then you wake up the next morning regretting your decision and wish there was a rewind button.

Before my hubby and I got back together I had an ex who basically distanced himself from me with no explanation what so ever.  I wouldn't say he ghosted me because  I literally saw him all the time.  He would see him at my job and we lived pretty close to one another.  He would go out of his way to say hi and make small talk as if nothing ever happened.  You would think I would ask him why he stopped answering my calls or maybe just ignore him.  Nope not me.  I would still talk to him like nothing ever happened which definitely makes me a coward of sorts.

About three months after we stopped dating my friend (at the time) was having a party.  A bunch of us were there having a good time.  We were karaoking, laughing, dancing, and having a good time.  The tequila was flowing and I love tequila!!  By the end of the night I convinced myself the smart thing to do was to text my ex.  I thought I need answers and I deserve them.  So, I fell down on my ass and started to text him.

Now, in my mind I was totally cool and casual.  I was making complete sense and I was in control for once.  It wasn't until the next day after I took care of my hangover did I realize how much of a fool I was.  Let's just say I pretty much spelled every word wrong.  My grammar was all over the place.  I vaguely remember him calling me and him laughing about how drunk I was.  Just so humiliating!!

I did finally get an answer if we want to call it that.  Are you curious as to why he stopped dating me?He gave me the old it's me not you.  Total cliche which is totally not fair!!  I mean at least tell me you are just not into me.  Be a man and be honest.

Needless to say I kept seeing him until I quit my job.  He always acted friendly as nothing ever happened.  Amazing how he just moved on with his life while I sat there without closure.  Such as life right?

As always,

Shh!! Me Time!!
