Thoughts about the author(s):  I am a huge fan of these authors!!  I do love their spin on Denver in this book and         totally took me by surprise by Denver's backstory.  Even though it threw me off because they are amazing I           loved it!!  Once again they have wanting the next book now!!


Summary:

This is Denver and Cleo's book.  A little recap on who these two special people are.  Denver Bailey is Romes twin and has made a career of being a bush pilot.  With being a bush pilot Denver is able to have a sense of freedom while still be able to be around his family.  He never wants to commit to anything and wants to be able to be independent.  He scored himself a job with the late Chip Dawson.  When Denver is asked by Chip Dawson's lawyer to attend the reading of the will he has no idea what he is doing there.  He was under the impression everything was being left to Chip's daughter Cleo. 

Cleo Dawson has had a strained relationship with her deceased father.   Most of her childhood she lived with her mother who like to jump from man to man.  The only stability Cleo has had in her life is her stepsister who is her mother's latest husbands daughter.  Cleo is not sure how to feel about her fathers death and she doesn't know what she is going to do with her fathers business.  So, when Cleo shows up for the reading of the will she is not sure what to expect especially when she knows Denver Bailey is going to be there. 

Much to both their surprise Chip left the business to both of them.  He left them each a letter from him in case of his death.  Now Denver has to decide if he is ready to follow through and keep the business.  Cleo has to decide if she is willing to learn the business enable to keep her father's legacy alive.

Can they do it without killing each other?

My thoughts:

First I want to say I did like this book.  I mean who doesn't love the Bailey family.  I am so excited for the next book in the series which comes out on January 7th.  When I found out it was Pheonix book I was like yes please!!  By the way I am totally looking forward to Juno's book!!  I was a tiny bit disappointed in one aspect of the book.  I wanted to see more of Rome and Denver's relationship.  I do realize Rome has a lot going on, but I felt Denver needed more support from Rome.  

At one point in my life I did know a commitment phobe.  I am going to call him Jackson.  I am truly sorry to the females out there because he is beautiful inside and out.   I do think you deserve a description of him.  Picture in your mind a light brown almost auburn color which is short on the sides longer on the top.  Deep chocolate eyes with skin that nicely tans.  Jackson is about 6'2" and weighs about 210 of muscle.  Lady's I am talking a six pack which is totally drool worthy.  Biceps that can make you swoon and don't get me started on the forearms.  If you are my people forearms are very important.  He has sexy tattoos and a few piercings which just adds to the sex appeal.

Jackson is sarcastic and definitely has a good sense of humor.  Excellent taste of music, loved to cook, and love to play sports.   A laugh you could listen to and not be annoyed by it.  He gives to all kinds of charities and will help anyone in need,  He is the guy who will stop and help the person stuck on the side of the road.  He is loyal to his friends and family.  

Are you hooked you yet??  Here is the huge negative about Jackson he is a commitment phobe.  I can not speak for him, but I believe after he had a close call with death when he was younger changed his perception in life.  And for this HE WILL NOT COMMIT TO ANYONE!!  As women and some men hope we are the one who are going to be the ONE.  He will realize we are soul mates/meant to be together and commit to me.  Well, I'm sorry to say he doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.  Jackson has been in plenty of monogamous relationships that have lasted years.  He will not propose to them, he will not move in with them, they can't move in with him, and he won't keep a draw for them or a draw at their place.  I would say he is content with his life, but I do have hope maybe one day he will find the one to just be with him through all of his hang ups.
