Summary:
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Delaney is the typical good girl. And is the complete opposite of her twin sister who is constantly in trouble and dates a boys her father will never approve of. Delaney is dead set on making her father proud and getting in to her dream college. Until one day she tags along with her twin sister and realizes that maybe be Valedictorian is everything.
Knox is the quarterback for his school team, but unlike normal quarterbacks he is constantly finding himself into some kind of trouble. He decides to help the golden boy of the fancy prep school and finds himself into more trouble than he ever thought he would ever be in. Can he keep living two lives or will one eventually catch up to him.
My thoughts:
My hubby wasn't the most outstanding student. Actually he was the bad ass who didn't really go to class, was suspended so many times he was eventually expelled, and he thought rules didn't apply to him. He ended up going to an alternative school, but a huge accomplishment for him was he did graduate. If you ask him he doesn't know how he did it, but is grateful he succeeded.
I give my hubby lots of credit and I am so proud of him!! He was determined to turn his life around and he did it. And because of that determination we have overall a good life. Of course there are hard time (everyone does), but our team work has made this family what it is. With that said there was one thing we didn't take into consideration. Both of our parents used to tell us our kids were going to be twice as bad as we were. Of course we used to laugh and shrugged it off.
Our lovely (yes I am being sarcastic) son his a miniature version of my hubby. Don't get me wrong he looks like me and has some qualities of mine, but for the most part he is my hubby. Stubborn, beats to his own drum, thinks he owns the world, and listening is optional. To say I have to be on top of him all the time is the understatement of the year. The only thing different is he still loves to learn. I don't know how much longer that will last, but for right now it's the only thing keeping his grades up. With the whole coronavirus thing going on and having to home school has been a whole new challenge.
Finger's crossed everyone he makes it to the fourth grade!!
